SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ABOUT US

Milk Press merges the poetic, visual, and digital art worlds by cultivating, presenting, and publishing multi-disciplinary and collaborative work. The projects we publish are fluid, nourishing, essential; spilt and split-open. Launched in 2018 by Jackie Braje, Milk Press aims to foster new and known talents across the five boroughs and beyond. Over the years, our journal has been a home for the work of many emerging and established creatives, including Chen Chen, John Reed, Major Jackson, Donna Masini, Matthew Yeager, and more. Please read our previous issues to see what best resonates with our journal.

Milk Press is now open for submissions from September 23 through November 1st.

Milk Press only considers previously unpublished works. We do not publish the same contributor back to back. Our reading fee of $5 will be put towards the free and accessible programs that the Poetry Society of New York offers. We hope to make our selection process as equitable and diverse as possible. That being said, BIPOC, queer, and gender non-conforming folks are especially encouraged to apply.

All submissions are handled through the Poetry Society of New York’s Submittable page.
